AVIXA Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) Exam Preparation
CTS Prep can help ease your nerves and increase your confidence before you take the AVIXA CTS® exam. Through this three-day course, you will practice your test-taking skills and home in on the specific areas of AV design where you need to focus your study time.
This three-day course explores the CTS® exam format and includes a review of exam content areas like creating, operating, and servicing AV solutions. You’ll work collaboratively, study with the help of industry experts, and identify CTS exam study needs with drills and exercises including concepts, math formulas, vocabulary, and diagrams. Essentials of AV Technology: New to the AV industry? Need a fundamentals refresher? This course provides a comprehensive, introductory overview of science and technology for audio, visual, and audiovisual systems integration. Explore microphones, cameras and displays, digital signals, networking, future trends, and everything AV. You can also use this course as a review session for the AVIXA-Recognized AV Technologist Test, a certificate program to help you prove your AV knowledge.
AV Math Online: Conquer your math fears by mastering common AV calculations with this online course. Increase your confidence through practical examples and practice problems. Walk away with the important skills you can apply immediately to your work.
What else should we know?
Participation in this course does not guarantee you will pass the CTS exam, nor will this course cover all the topics listed in the test outline. The CTS Candidate Handbook provides valuable information about the testing process and includes a copy of the exam application. Use the Exam Content Outline, Job Task Analysis, and CTS Sample Questions to determine any gaps between your knowledge and skills and those required to pass the exam.

By applying for this course, you are not signing up for the CTS exam. You can apply here online for the CTS Exam. Once your application has been approved, you will schedule your exam appointment directly with a Pearson VUE testing center near you.
After you take and pass the exam, don’t forget to apply for Certification Reimbursement. We reimburse IATSE workers who successfully obtain approved industry certifications for the cost of the certification exam. Review courses and other fees incurred during the certification or recertification process are not reimbursable, and we can't reimburse for multiple attempts at passing an exam.

The CTS Prep Online course will help you practice your test-taking skills and identify the specific areas where you need to focus your study time. This is a complete online prep course and can be taken over a period of time. The CTS Certified Technology Specialist Exam Guide is available for purchase online.
