History

The IATSE Entertainment and Exhibition Industries Training Trust Fund (IATSE Training Trust Fund) was born in order to create a vehicle to advance the skills and safety of IATSE members. The IATSE Craft Advancement Program committee (ICAP) was formed shortly after the IATSE 66th Quadrennial Convention. This committee, which existed prior to the creation of the Training Trust Fund, promotes safety and skills training among other things. Out of the work and foresight of that committee, the Training Trust Fund started to take shape.

On June 22, 2011, DADCO and I.A.T.S.E. signed the agreement to create the IATSE Entertainment and Exhibition Industries Training Trust Fund, a Taft Hartley Labor Management Training Trust Fund and 501c9 tax exempt organization. This date marks the birth of the IATSE Training Trust Fund.

Today, the IATSE Training Trust Fund continues to build on the original vision and is creating the infrastructure, supports and programs to advance the skills and safety of IATSE workers.
