This class has been customized for Local 481 by OSHA Authorized Trainer and Local 481 member, Jay Stone. It provides detailed, practical information on safe practices, safety awareness, responsibilities and rights. Training covers a variety of construction safety issues and hazards which a worker may encounter at a set, shop or location during construction activities. Jay emphasizes hazard identification, avoidance, control and prevention. After completion of this class, members earn an OSHA 10 Construction Completion Card.
This two-day training includes all required topics for OSHA 10-hour Outreach Safety Training Class for Construction. Included:

- Personal Protective and Lifesaving Equipment
- Health Hazards in Construction
- Rigging / Cranes, Derricks, Hoists, Elevators, & Conveyors
- Materials Handling, Storage, Use and Disposal
- Stairways and Ladders
- Tools - Hand and Power
