The two-hour Respiratory Protection Awareness course will be followed by individual respirator fit testing. Students will be properly fitted with a respirator by one of the instructors and given a North half-face respirator and filters to take with them. Course covers:

• Respirator use and importance

• Proper selection and matching of respirators and filters with the specific environmental hazards being faced

• Maintenance, storage, and cleaning
