OSHA 10/GENERAL ENTERTAINMENT SAFETY TRAINING AT USITT

USITT, the IATSE Craft Advancement Program committee and the IATSE Entertainment and Exhibition Industries Training Trust Fund are collaborating to present an OSHA 10/General Entertainment Safety training prior to the USITT Annual Conference & Stage Expo in Cincinnati in March. The 10-hour class will be held over two days, from 2 to 6 p.m. Monday, March 16, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 17 at Cincinnati’s Duke Energy Convention Center. USITT’s 2015 Annual Conference & Stage Expo runs from Wednesday, March 18 through Saturday, March 21 at the Duke Center.

The training covers OSHA policies, procedures, and standards, as well as general industry safety and health principles. Topics include scope and application of the OSHA general industry standards. Special emphasis is placed on those areas that are the most hazardous, using OSHA standards as a guide. The OSHA 10/General Entertainment Safety course was customized for the IATSE Entertainment and Exhibition Industries Training Trust Fund and uses examples from the Entertainment Industry.
