Safety and Health Week: May 2-8, 2021

Each year during Safety and Health Week, we focus on the importance of preventing injury and illness in the workplace, at home, and in the community. Workplace injuries are often the result of poor lighting or poor environmental hygiene, missing guard rails, unsafe walking surfaces, misuse of equipment, and lack of safety training. You can increase your understanding of safe practices and general safety procedures as they apply to your work in the entertainment industry through the TTF Safety First! online courses. The 19 courses include Chemical Protection, Electrical Safety, Fall Prevention and Protection, Welding and Cutting, and so much more.

We also continue to offer our OSHA 10/General Entertainment Safety trainings in a distance learning format. The OSHA 10 training covers general industry safety and health principles and OSHA policies, procedures, and standards with special emphasis on those areas that are the most hazardous to workers.

Safety and Health Week coincides with OSHA’s National Safety Stand-Down to Prevent Falls in Construction (May 3-7). OSHA has a considerable number of resources available for download to help employers and workers understand and identify job hazards and prevent falls. Here are just a few:
