  • Discuss the company respirator program, supervisor and worker responsibilities
  • Why respirators are necessary
  • Respirator selection, which respirators are required for each task
  • How the respirator works, including type of filer
  • Donning, doffing, inspection for potential defects; sealing surfaces, valves, straps, cartridges, and filters
  • Limitation and capabilities of selected respirator type
  • Review postitive and negative pressure seal checks
  • Reivew fit testing including a brief explanation of exercises
  • Review clearning, storage, maintenance, procedures, and supplies
  • Emergency prcedures: what to do if respirator fails, if an indivual worker develps SOB
  • How to maintain a good fit: facial hair policies and eyeglasses
  • When to change filters and where to get new filters and parts
