Herc Partnership

Local unions setting up their own standard lift safety courses should first fill out Herc’s Safety Training Request form. PLEASE NOTE: Filling out Herc’s request form does not constitute TTF funding approval. If you are seeking funding support to help defray costs, you must submit a Course Reimbursement Application. To access the TTF negotiated discounted rate of $150 per person through Course Reimbursement, you must also meet the following requirements:

• All training requests must be submitted to Herc Rentals at least two weeks in advance of the course date to guarantee the partnership discount.

• Group trainings must be held in person on a weekday at a Herc Rental location within their normal business hours.

• Training on weekends can be arranged at your local union site. Keep in mind, Herc has course minimums that must be met to qualify for the partnership discount.

• Locals are required to set up an account with Herc. This will make the invoicing process post-class easier.

• Additional information may be required if your local is arranging a specialty lift training.

• All other Course Reimbursement policies apply.

If your preferred training falls outside the parameters listed above, please contact the TTF Support Team.

Next, complete the Course Reimbursement Application. Submit your completed application and wait to receive official approval from the TTF for funding.

To sign up for a course, check the Open Enrollment Courses schedule or fill out the Safety Training Request on the Herc Rentals website. If you fill out the Safety Training Request form, you will be contacted by a Herc trainer who will help you sign up for a course. State that you are an IATSE worker to access the discounted rate of $150 per person. You may be asked to show your IA card when you attend the course.
