Professional Etiquette Micro-Courses

The TTF is excited to announce the release of four new micro-courses to accompany our Professional Etiquette course in the Craft Skills Courses & Videos Library. These online, self-paced courses are available on the TTF Courses & Resources Learning Platform and open to all IATSE workers. Upon completing the main Professional Etiquette course, workers have access to the micro-courses covering the following topics in more depth, including common terminology, roles, workplace structure, and best practices. Each course also has downloadable handouts you can reference on the go!

Film & TV

This companion course on Professional Etiquette: Film & TV is designed to equip IATSE workers in the film and television industry with the key skills and behaviors necessary to maintain professionalism in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Professionalism on set is critical for maintaining efficiency, ensuring smooth collaboration, and securing future work opportunities.

This course covers essential principles such as understanding workplace hierarchy, effective communication, on-set conduct, and safety protocols. Learners will gain an understanding of how professionalism impacts both daily production operations and long-term career success. Live Events & Stagecraft

This companion course on Professional Etiquette: Live Events & Stagecraft equips IATSE workers with the essential knowledge and behaviors needed to stay professional in fast-paced environments like concerts and theatrical productions.

From the moment you receive a call to the end of your shift, professionalism is key—it impacts safety, teamwork, and your chances of getting the next gig. This course lays out what’s expected on and off the floor. You’ll explore workplace roles, check-in protocols, and how to handle your tasks on site. With real-world examples and practical advice, you’ll be ready to meet the demands of the job professionally, safely, and confidently.

Convention & Tradeshow

This companion course on Professional Etiquette: Convention & Tradeshow is designed for IATSE workers working in expos, conferences, corporate events, and tradeshows. Convention work brings together a variety of crews, contractors, and clients in fast-paced environments that require flexibility, clear communication, and a high level of professionalism.

From marshaling yards to expo floors, how you conduct yourself on a call directly impacts your safety, your reputation, and your future employment. This course covers what to expect, who’s who, and how to stay professional even when things get hectic.

Sports Broadcast
