Course Reimbursement
This program is for Local Unions with employer contributions being made to the TTF on their behalf. It provides reimbursements in fixed amounts to Local Unions to help defray the cost of offering group safety or craft skills training courses. Applications must be submitted prior to the course taking place for review and pre-approval.
UPDATED POLICIES – please read CAREFULLY
Only Locals with employers who make contributions to the TTF are eligible to use the Course Reimbursement program.
Reimbursement applications must be submitted before the course takes place or they will not be approved.
Locals with their own local Training Funds or access to another Training Fund who also have contributions to TTF should contact the Support Manager at info@iatsetrainingtrust.org to check their eligibility for Course Reimbursement funds for their course.
Reimbursement amounts are capped and may be used for costs directly associated with the teaching of the course, such as instruction fees, expendable materials, or rental equipment. Pre-approval amounts granted cannot be used for items such as providing food for the course, lost wages/paying people to attend the course, travel/lodging, or scholarships for attendees.
Invoices for pre-approved courses that are not received within 45 days of the course taking place will not be reimbursed.
If you need to change the date of the course after it's approved, please contact us as soon as possible. If you aren’t holding a course that was approved, please let us know. Funds cannot be transferred to a different course or year.
Costs associated with renting from member loan-out companies cannot be reimbursed if a local officer is the owner of that loan-out company. This includes kit rental.
Courses must meet a five-student minimum requirement. Attendance will be uploaded to the Training Tracker.
