Measuring for Costumes
Participants will learn the different measurements that are an industry standard for fittings. They will understand where on the body to take these measurements, and they will demonstrate this knowledge by measuring another person. Participants will also learn how these measurements are used when sizing garments. They will learn how to determine where on the garment these measurements will need to be taken in order to accurately reflect the garment’s size. They will demonstrate this knowledge by sizing various garments from stock and determining which garments will best fit an individual.
