LACMA Costume and Textiles Pattern Project

The Pattern Project is an online resource produced by the Costume and Textiles department at LACMA, which publishes free downloadable garment patterns of historic dress in the permanent collection. Each printable PDF includes a scaled pattern of an extant fashion object from the collection, a description with historical context and object-based observations, overall and detailed images, and instructions for the construction of the garment.

USITT Webinars

USITT has a variety of webinars and online classes, including lighting, costuming, digital media, safety, scenic design, and more. Some are free to USITT members but charge a small fee for non-members. Others have a fee associated with them. The innova courses are free for everyone.
