Costumes: Measurements, Tagging, and Shop Prep

This costuming class allows participants to work with wardrobe from actual films to learn the best way to measure garments of all types. In addition, they will learn the best way to label the garment for ease when pulling for a fitting. Sizing, fabric types, periods, and silhouettes as part of shop prep will be discussed, as well as preferred methods for shop organization. Students will learn how to measure a garment for an exact fit and the factors that could influence these measurements. This will increase shop productivity during fittings.
