TTF AV Video Series

We created an eight-part AV video series for IATSE workers interested in advancing their audiovisual skills. The learning path is now available through LinkedIn Learning. To access these videos, sign into your LinkedIn Learning account and search for TTF AV Video Series.

  1. Basic Sound (20 minutes)

    Topics covered include audio system sources, processors, and outputs.

  2. Troubleshooting (8 minutes)

    Topics covered include how to pre-plan, common issues, feedback, buzz, and when to ask for help.

  3. Formatting Drives (6 minutes)

    Topics covered include formatting hard drives and flash drives for PCs and Macs.

  4.  Safely Ejecting Flash Drives (4 minutes)

    Topics covered include how to eject flash drives from PCs and Macs.

  5.  Connectors and Devices (16 minutes)

    Topics covered include audio connectors, video connectors, computer cables, and fiber cables.

  6.  Introduction to I.T. (20 minutes)

    Topics covered include networks, MAC addresses, IP addresses, binary numbers, subnet mask, TCP, UDP, the OSI Model, switches, and routers.

  7. Visual Systems (22 minutes)

    Topics covered include screens, aspect ratios, pixels, projectors, monitors, switchers, distribution amplifiers, EDID, and HDCP.

  8. Dongles and Adapters (10 minutes)

    Topics covered include audio, video, and computer adapters.
