Local 140 Teaches Their First Safety First! Group Courses
IATSE Local 140 taught their first TTF Safety First! Instructor Led Trainings this month through Zoom. They took the Basic Entertainment Safety and COVID-19: Recommended Guidelines courses and adapted them to distance learning.

Local 695's Networking Crash Course Helps Film & TV Productions Safely Distance
Film and television productions are experiencing an unexpected need for remote networking because of COVID-19 distancing recommendations. To meet demand, Local 695’s James Hunt quickly developed a one-day Networking Crash Course that enables Local 695 workers to work remotely.
COVID-19: Recommended Guidelines for Preventing Exposure in the Workplace
This new TTF Safety First! Online Course provides workers with information and recommended practices to minimize the spread of COVID-19 upon returning to the workplace. This course also discusses potential administrative controls to reduce the risk of COVID-19 spread in the work environment.
How Local 8 is Handling Training Challenges During Coronavirus
Back in March, IATSE Local 8 decided to move their spring and summer in-person classes online due to COVID-19 safer at home restrictions around gatherings. Under the direction of Michael Barnes and with the collective effort of the Local 8 Education Committee, they have developed an extraordinary web-based training community.
New Resource: Computer Essentials Curriculum
This new curriculum developed by the IATSE Education and Training Department provides local unions a comprehensive, user-friendly training that covers the basic knowledge required for an individual to use their personal computer.
Five Join Growing Roster of Local OSHA Outreach Trainers
Five new trainers join a growing roster of 50 OSHA Trainers in 41 local unions actively teaching OSHA 10/GES classes throughout the United States and Puerto Rico.

OSHA Interim Enforcement Response Plan to Protect Workers during the Coronavirus Pandemic
OSHA today announced an interim enforcement response plan for the coronavirus pandemic. The response plan outlines procedures for addressing reports of workplace hazards related to the coronavirus. Fatalities and imminent danger exposures related to the coronavirus will be prioritized for on-site inspections.
